Pink giant gummy bear sculpture styling a shelf

Gummy bear decor ideas: which size to choose and where to put them

A resin gummy bear acts like a lamp that’s switched off: in a dark corner it goes unnoticed, and when the light hits it, it’s the first thing you see as you walk in. Here’s how to decorate with resin gummy bear sculptures, with a few pointers for choosing the size, the spot and the color.

Which size to choose

Where they look best

By a window

Resin is translucent: with light behind it, the color lights up. A shelf near a window or a bookcase that gets light from the side is the best spot.

On the living room shelf

Mix heights: a 22 cm (8.7 in) piece, an 11 cm (4.3 in) one and something low balance the shelf better than three identical pieces. Put it at eye level, not on the top shelf.

On the wall

Many customers hang their gummy bears on the wall, with whatever mounting system they prefer. Hung at eye level with some side light, it becomes the pop of color on the wall.

In the entryway

A giant gummy bear on the entryway table is the first thing anyone sees when they come home. Pick a piece of furniture without much else on it.

In a teen room or on a desk

The medium gummy bear fits on top of a monitor or on a narrow shelf, and it survives a change in taste better than a poster.

In the kitchen

For the kitchen, the 25 cm (10 in) giant donut hangs on the wall or sits on a shelf, and it pairs well with a gummy bear in the same shade.

How to pair the colors

Against a white or neutral wall, any color works on its own, and the more empty space around it, the better. If the wall already has color, pick a similar shade instead of a contrasting one: pink on warm walls, green or blue on cool ones. For a kawaii corner, pink and yellow together; for pop art decor, red and blue.

Care tips so it lasts

Clean it with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild soap, and avoid alcohol, solvents and many hours of direct sun. There’s more detail in the guide on what epoxy resin is and how to care for it.
